Even though this season hasn’t gone as well for Florida as members of the team, students, alumni, and fans would have hoped the Gators are still going to try and play spoiler to Georgia on Saturday, and earlier today on The Morning Shift Co-Owner and Publisher of Dawgs HQ and Co-Host of The Steakhouse Rusty Mansell joined the show and talked about what Florida could do to possibly throw the Dawgs off, and how Kirby Smart and Georgia’s defensive preparation for Florida might’ve changed with Florida’s Head Coach and play caller Billy Napier gone.
“There’s only so much you can change in two weeks. I think what you can change is the pace, how quick you play. I think a lot of people were not happy with Billy Napier kind of slowing the game down, come to the line of scrimmage, looking the play over, what can you do there, and personnel wise. I think the bigger thing is personnel wise who can you get in the game. You can’t change the terminology in two weeks.” Rusty said
Florida not changing the plays themselves, but the way they play, who they play, and their style of play could be one element of surprise they have over Georgia, but it will be up to interim Head Coach Billy Gonzales and the Gators to use it on Saturday.
