Jordan Davis won't win the Heisman, but he can stop Bryce Young from doing so

Georgia looking to bookend season by ending Heisman candidacies

When Georgia opened the season by limiting Clemson QB D.J. Uiagalelei to just 178 yards passing and zero touchdowns and an interception, they effectively ended the pre-season favorite's Heisman candidacy.

In the 11 games that followed, Georgia defense has been proven to be the best in the country, putting another feather in their cap when holding Georgia Tech stud RB Jahmyr Gibbs to just 3 all-purpose yards.

Georgia will get one final chance to have a majopr impact on the 2021 Heisman race when they face Alabama and QB Bryce Young on Saturday in the SEC Championship Game.

Bryce Young is, according to many experts and analysts, the current front-runner to win the Heisman after he led Alabama to a come-from-behind win in the Iron Bowl over Auburn that included a final-minute 98-yard touchdown drive.

Georgia is hoping to hand somebody else the Heisman if they can make Bryce Young look far from the QB he's been most of the season. In doing so, they would essentially have ended the Heisman chances of both the preseason favorite and the regular season leader.
