Georgia basketball's 2024-25 season was on the ropes on Tuesday night. After leading an elite Florida squad by as many as 26 points, they nearly squandered the game in the waning minutes. But Mike White's squad held on, courtesy of a Blue Cain three-pointer, and gave their tournament hopes a much-needed shot in the arm.

The Steakhouse welcomed Georgia guard Silas Demary Jr. to talk about the team's massive win over the Gators, and why it feels like they have finally unlocked their poise in big moments.

"We've been in these moments, and we fell through," Demry told The Steakhouse on Friday morning. "We haven't quite got over that hump of beating those big-time teams, or we'd be right there and we make a few mistakes.

He continued, "This is what we've been working on since June, to be able to play in these moments, and to finally win a game in those big-time moments against your Auburns, your Tennessees, or your Floridas. For all our guys to see that we can really do it and put together 40 minutes to beat a top-five team, it's just good and it gives everybody continued confidence."

Demry had a tremendous performance in the win over Florida, pouring on 21 points, three assists, and two steals. His play fueled the Dawgs' hot start as they raced out to a massive lead over the No. 3 Gators.

After the interview, Steak Shapiro and Rusty Mansell continued their conversation on the state of Georgia basketball and what it might take for them to make a run to March.

"[Georgia basketball] has no chance if Silas Demry Jr. doesn't play well," Steak said. "I mean that's the guy, he and Asa Newell are the one-two punch that gives them a chance, and then Blue Cain has to hit open jumpers. That's the formula."

Up next for Georgia are a pair of road trips to Texas and South Carolina before the finish off the regular season at home against Vanderbilt. They'll need to win at least one, maybe two of those before they punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
