Georgia has risen to No. 10 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, and that got The Morning Shift thinking if there was any path for the Dawgs to host a first-round playoff game. They worked out what all needs to happen for Georgia to host.

1. Georgia has to win out
I think this one is pretty obvious. Georgia needs to win out to host a playoff game, and to make a College Football Playoff game period.

2. Ohio State OR Indiana needs to lose
This is guaranteed to happen because they play each other this weekend. So with one of these teams losing that will open up a spot for teams to move up, including Georgia.

3. Notre Dame needs to lose again
Now this is where it gets tough because while the Fighting Irish do play No. 19 Army this weekend, but they are more than likely going to win that game. Their final game of the season is against USC. Notre Dame also lost to unranked Northern Illinois this season, however, so anything is possible.

The path to Georgia hosting a playoff game is unlikely at this point because of tie breakers and the remaining schedules of the teams in front of them, but there is a chance and stranger things have happened in college football.
