For a long time the Atlanta Falcons didn't select players from the University of Georgia, and that ones that they did take were towards the end of the draft, and as UGA players went on the become stars and studs the complaints and criticism of the Falcons blind-spot for Georgia players became a central discussion. With the selection of Jalon Walker in the 2025 NFL Draft, Brandon Adams of DawgNation says it's time for Georgia fans to bury that hatchet.
"The last night of our DawgNation Cruise was the first night of the NFL Draft. We're in a big crowd, bunch of people watching the draft, and to see the reaction from Georgia fans about that, I think it creates a real moment to capitalize on," says Brandon Adams. "For a long time we've nitpicked the Falcons and a lot of Georgia fans have said until you start taking our players we're not going to show you any love, and now they have. I'm going to challenge Georgia fans, maybe it's buying gear or tickets or being nicer online, maybe it's time for Georgia to show the Falcons some love here."
