Is Georgia's DL Jordan Davis a Top 10 draft pick?

We are just under two weeks until the NFL Scouting Combine which will begin on March 1 in Indianapolis.

The Georgia Bulldogs have 14 players invited to showcase their talents in front of NFL scouts, executives and coaches from each of the 32 teams.

Defensive tackle Jordan Davis, who is already expected to be drafted in the first-round, will have the opportunity to increase his draft stock even higher. Could he be a Top 10 pick at the end of the Combine?

"First of all, the weight thing, he has to get control of that for the Combine; run well and all those things," Randy McMichael said. "Teams don't usually have two-down linemen...so I just go by the body type of Jordan Davis--I think he'll still be a first rounder. I don't know about Top 10 because of the limited ability for him to rush the passer but I still think he'll be 15."

In his final season at Georgia, Davis accounted for 32 tackles, 5.5 for loss and two sacks in 15 games. He also won both the Chuck Bednarik Award (best defensive player in CFB) and Outland Trophy (best interior lineman).

"I don't think he'll get in the Top 10 either," Andy Bunker said. "I kind of see it between somewhere between 15 and 32."

"I guess if he's a little lighter, I guess if he's a little faster (at the Combine) maybe you can give the idea of a three-down player. On the flip side of that too is maybe his weight doesn't look good at the Combine, if he doesn't run fast, maybe he is able to fall down a little bit. Hopefully not."
