On Monday Randy McMichael and Andy Bunker spoke about the benefits of new UGA Quarterback Jamie Newman being able to play two seasons in Athens with the recent news of the NCAA’s ruling to allow all fall student-athletes to maintain a year of eligibility regardless if they participant in their respective sports upcoming fall season.

“It just depends on if he uses it or not.  I mean he is a guy that on some boards, somebody had him as a first rounder on a couple of boards…I think it’s beneficial though,” said Randy.

“If Jamie Neman plays great and Georgia goes 10-0 and makes the College Football Playoff, Jamie Newman is probably going to be a first round draft pick. If they don’t, than that means Jamie Neman probably didn’t play very well and does Georgia want him back for a second year. I have a hard time buying that he’s the quarterback for two years,” added Andy.
