Despite winning a national championship just 10 days ago, many UGA players have begun to move on, focus on their future, and decide what is best for them long-term.

With Bennett returning, some other offensive players are debating how that decision will impact their own ability to perform. Mike Griffith of DawgNation spoke a month ago about the impact of Bennett on other players on offense.

"I know for a fact there are players still hopeful J.T. Daniels gets on the field, primarily receivers," said Griffith before the semifinal game against Michigan. "Stetson is a good quarterback, but he doesn't throw effectively on deep out or outside the hashes or deep very often. Just look at target allocation to understand why receivers would prefer JT and why tight ends or slot receivers would prefer Stetson."

It's possible that Burton was already planning to transfer and that Bennett's return played no part in his decision. But the two announcements were made quite close to each other and you have to imagine Burton was aware of Stetson's decision before going public with his own, even though his announcement officially came out first.
