Is the college football fan experience worth it?

In the south, college football has always been able to compete with the NFL, specifically from a fan base standpoint. But there has been a trend lately in college football that no one is talking about.

For the last seven years, attendance has been down in college football overall.  Jon Chuckery is one of the biggest college football fans in the metro Atlanta area. Even he understands that the times are different when it comes to college football.

“I rather just sit on my couch and watch it,” Chuckery said. “You can watch all of your team’s games on T.V.” College football fans, with all of the access they have to network programming, kind of removes some of the luster from actually attending games in person.

If this is a real concern overall in college football, school presidents may have to figure out a way to make the fan experience better on Saturday afternoons.
