The last time we saw UGA football, in a loss to Florida in Jacksonville, Stetson Bennett was sidelined due to a shoulder injury and D'Wan Mathis wasn't doing much with another chance to take over the offense.
There was expected to be a QB competition this past week as Bennett recovered, but the game with Missouri was postponed due to COVID. So the plans at QB for UGA are still unknown.
Mike Griffith, who is a senior beat writer for DawgNation, joined John and Hugh and spoke about how he feels the QB role will look when UGA next takes the field.
"I think Daniels is going to give you the opportunity to see the ceiling of this Bulldogs offense," says Griffith. "If Daniels isn’t the guy the last four games than he’s not the guy period and he’s gone.
“JT Daniels is a guy that was the No. 3 rated QB behind Field and Lawrence, and we haven’t seen him play yet because of that lingering knee. But now is an opportunity for Kirby and Georgia to turn the page and be who we thought they would be."
