Radi Nabulsi, who covers the Georgia Bulldogs for UGASports.com, joined the Midday Show to predict who he thinks declares for the NFL Draft when the season is over.
It's going to be a weird year when it comes to the NFL Draft because players have an extra year of eligibility due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, Georgia has a lot of guys who are really good and have the opportunity to leave and go to the NFL if they want to.
When asked if he had a sense of the eligible Bulldogs players, including underclassmen, who are thinking and maybe planning on leaving for the NFL, Nabulsi was quick to respond with one particular name.
"I expect (running back) Zamir White to go ahead and opt for the NFL," Nabulsi told Andy and Randy. "And again, this is not him telling me this; this is not somebody in his camp. This is just from the scuttlebutt I've heard from within the program."
"This guy's had two ACL injuries. The timer starts on those running backs the minute they get out of high school...This is a guy who's been banged up, and if he's going to be rehabbing, if he's going to be rebuilding and trying to get better, he might take the Elijah Holyfield approach; yeah, you can come back for your final year but you could also be rehabbing and working on a practice squad, get drafted."
White first tore his ACL as a senior in high school. He suffered a second torn ACL as a true freshman at Georgia during summer training camp.
"Zamir is a very talented back. He's kind of showing that he's healthy and can do what he could."
In his career at Georgia (2019 and 2020), White has 1,022 yards rushing on 199 attempts and 12 touchdowns.
