On Friday Andy & Randy were previewing The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party between the #1 Georgia Bulldogs and their SEC East rival Florida Gators at 3:30pm on CBS this Saturday when their conversation steered towards the 2022 Georgia defense and if it is truly elite or not.
“Obviously last year’s defense was historically great. They were the engine that led Georgia to a National Championship last year…statistically this defense is close. What they have done the first seven games of this season, this defense is still elite. Do you buy it? Do you think this defense actual is elite or is it competition based so far this season?” Andy asked Randy.
“I am going to go competition based…they’re good but I am going to go competition based,” Randy replied.
“I mean you look at this stretch they are going yeah because you got some really good teams, really good offenses. And the hardest thing in college football is to play defense because these offenses are so explosive,” Randy added.
The Bulldogs come into Saturday’s game against the Gators as 22.5 point favorites and have won 4 out of the last 5 in this rivalry game.
