There were a few head-scratching officiating decisions in Saturday night's Georgias Bulldogs 20-10 win over the Auburn Tigers, perhaps none more confusing than the officials calling as timeout for Georgia, believing that Kirby Smart had signaled for one, only for Kirby to then suggest and convince the crew that he was clapping to detain how members of the Auburn D-Line were taking part in an act that should be flagged. Ultimately the officials did not force Georgia to take a timeout and many believe that Kirby Smart pulled a fast one over the entire officiating crew in a way that no other coach in the country would have been able to.
