Should Bulldogs go after QB Caleb Williams?

The decisions that the Georgia Bulldogs have to make almost sound like they are a professional football team. With the news of J.T. Daniels potentially entering the transfer portal, the Bulldogs have to figure out who will be under center when they take on the Dan Lanning-led Oregon Ducks.

Stetson Bennett was able to do what no other college football player has ever done in the modern college football era; which is win a national championship as a walk-on. While Bennett deciding to stay would leave no question who will be the starter for the Bulldogs. The conundrum comes in for Kirby Smart if Bennett decides he wants to ride off into the sunset.

Jon Chuckery has a very interesting suggestion for Smart to consider.

“I would love, personally, if Stetson isn’t going to come back, to maybe make a run at a Caleb Williams,” Chuckery said. Smart may have to buy what Chuckery is trying to sell. Here is why. The Bulldogs are coming off a national championship, and everyone knows that Smart is a great pitchman.

Nevertheless, it all depends on what Stetson Bennett does because he holds all of the cards right now.
