SEC media days starts the beginning of college football, especially down here in the south. For Kirby Smart, it's the start of a quest to get that ultimate prize, a national championship. The one thing about Smart though, when that conversation is brought up, he always brings it back to the next game.
One thing that he doesn't have to worry about this year is the quarterback position. J.T. Daniels is the starting quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs and Todd Monken will be calling the plays this year.
Chris Goforth, of 92.9 The Game, joined the Jon Chuckery show live from SEC media days to talk about just how important Monken and Daniels will be for the Bulldogs. “I just think overall he’s (Kirby) a lot more comfortable, confident if you will, in where this offense is and where it’s headed” Goforth said.
Daniels is set to really increase his value overall if he finds a way to get Georgia’s offense where he needs to be. He has the confidence of the coaching staff, now all he has to do is produce every Saturday in the fall.
