As the Georgia Bulldogs season starts anew, the off-field issue of seasons past is already stealing headlines after the arrest of UGA WR Nitro Tuggle early on Thursday morning for a pair of driving-related misdemeanors. Tuggle was booked into Athens-Clarke County jail shortly before 2am according to DawgsHQ.
"Stop being dumb. They are looking for you. Athens-Clarke County Police are looking, do you not know this? You weren't running late for class or workouts, it's 2am," proclaims a frustrated Randy McMichael.
Since the start of 2023 there have been at-least 26 Georgia players arrested for speeding, DUI, or reckless driving, and while Kirby Smart said in July 2024 that the UGA program would take a different approach to hopefully stop the players having driving-related issues, it hasn't done much to limit or bring down the frequency of driving-related charges by UGA football players.
