May I have your attention please: Will the real UGA please stand up.
I repeat, will the real UGA please stand up.
The Georgia Bulldogs have been a tale of two seasons, one a 12-game regular season in which they were absolutely dominant, and the other, a 60-minute mess in which Alabama handed it to them.
So which Georgia team was the fluke?
There were 12 dominant showings against competition ranging from truly bad to tough but ultimately overrated, but no matchups against another elite team until the SEC Championship Game.
In the meeting with Alabama, Georgia was exposed on multiple fronts. The pass rush didn't create much pressure, the secondary couldn't cover, and the offense didn't get anywhere close to their season average.
So which team is legit? Was it just a bad game for UGA or was it a display of who they really are?
The good news for Georgia is that they can prove against Michigan in the Orange Bowl just which team is the real one, and then can try for payback against Alabama if they get past Cincinnati.
