7A – All of the top six teams in 7A were in action on Friday and all but one walked away with another one in the win column. Roswell suffered their first loss of the season after falling to Walton, 31-19. The loss knocks the Hornets out of the No. 4. Position and down to No.6. No. 1 Collins Hill made history with their 34-0 win over East Coweta as it is the first time the Eagles have gotten off to a 6-0 start in program history. Mill Creek remains at No. 2 as they defeated Grayson 28-14 in what may be their biggest win thus far this season. Colquitt stays at No. 3, while Milton takes over at No. 4 and North Cobb moves up a spot to No. 5.

6A – 6A saw two of their top six teams fall this past week as last week’s No. 2 Lee County was handed their first loss of the season when they fell to Warner Robins 56-30. The loss knocked Lee County back to No. 3 and last week’s No. 3, Carrollton, who loss to Rome 45-27, fell out of the top six. Idle River Ridge takes over at No. 2 while Westlake moves up to No. 4 after coming off their win over Shiloh, moves up to No. 4. Last week’s No. 6 Brunswick, improved to 5-0 after their win and moved up a spot to No. 5 and new to the top six at No. 6 is Kennesaw Mountain who improved to 6-0 after defeating Lassiter 51-7 on Friday.

5A – Five of the top six teams were in action this past week and only one of them walked away with a loss and that was the No. 1 team last week, Ware County, who fell 49-42 to Benedictine. The loss drops them to No. 3, allowing Warner Robins to move up to No. 1 and Coffee into the No. 2 spot. Cartersville was idle and remains at No. 4 and both No. 5 Creekside and No. 6 Woodward Academy were winners last week, remaining in the same positions.

4A – Five of the top six teams were in action last week and all but one, Cartersville, who was on a bye week, were winners. The lone loser last week was No. 6, Cedartown who fell to 31-7 to Calhoun and with the loss, fall out of the top six. With that, the only change to take place in 4A is Cedartown dropping from the top six and new comer Stephenson coming in at No. 6.

2A – There was some shake up in 2A as two of the top six teams from last week were losers, including No. 1 Callaway, who fell 24-8 to Thomas County Central and drop to No. 3. Rabun County picked up a 70-14 win over Pickens jumps up to No. 1, while Fitzgerald’s 17-0 loss to Pierce County drops them a spot to No. 4. Bleckley County improved to 5-0 and moved to No. 2 after holding on for a 21-19 win over Dodge County. while Thomasville was on a bye week and remains at No. 5 and Haralson improved to 4-1 with their 56-0 win over Banks County and remains in the No. 6 position.

1A Public – With No. 1 Macon County on a bye last week and No. 2 Metter, No. 3 Irwin and No. 4 Bowdon all winners, there were no changes in those positions as all four teams remain in their spots from last week. Last week’s No. 6 Washington-Wilkes moves up to No. 5 following their 51-0 win over Hancock-Central, while Montgomery County drops from the top six after their 17-13 loss to Wilcox County. New to the top six this week is Schley County at 5-0 following their 57-26 win over Greenville.

1A Private – Four of the top six teams in 1A Private were in action last week with only one of them taking a loss and that was Whitefield Academy, who was edged out 29-28 by Brookstone.
The loss was Whitefield’s first of the season and drops them to No. 6 and allowing Fellowship Christian to move up to No. 3 after their win 40-7 win over St. Francis. Prince Avenue, who was on a bye week, moves up to No. 4 and Athens Academy, who defeated Hebron Christian Academy 45-13, moves into the No.5 position.
