Just as last week, only three of the 7A tops six “Pick 6” teams were in action last week, with No. 1 Buford, No.2 Colquitt County and No. 3 Mill Creek having the week off. For Buford and Mill Creek, the week off was perfect timing as the two teams will go head to head in arguably the biggest game of the week. No. 4 Carrollton, No. 5 Valdosta and No. 6 Kennesaw Mountain were all winners last week so changes occurred with the top six positions of the rankings.

No. 4 Gainesville and No. 6 Woodward Academy had the week off so no changes occurred in the top six positions of the rankings.

Of the four top six teams in the 5A “Pick 6” rankings that were in action last week, only one suffered a loss. Calhoun fell to hiram 44-34, dropping them from the No. 5 spot to No. 8. With the Calhoun loss, Cartersville, who beat Cass 35-13, moves up a spot to No. 5 and Coffee, coming off a 42-13 win over Bradwell Institute, rounds out the top six at No.
6. Ware County, Kell, Creekside and Dutchtown all remain in their respective positions from last week.

Of the four top six 3A “Pick 6” teams on the field last week, three of them, No. 2 Carver-Atlanta, No. 3 Calvary Day and No. 5 Doughtery, were all winners but unfortunately Carver-Columbus fell to Thomasville 15-14, dropping from No. 6 to No. 9. With the Carver-Columbus loss, Stephens County, who defeated Franklin County 63-0 moves up from No. 7 to No. 6 rounding out the top six.

With the loss, Pierce County falls from No. 2 to No. 5, while South Atlanta, Appling County and North Cobb Christian all move up a spot in the tops six positions of the rankings.

Darlington, who defeated Chattooga 48-21, moved up from No. 7 to No. 6 to round out the top six positions in the rankings.

6 to No. 5 and Schelt County, who had the week off, rounds out the top six positions at No. 6.
