There are so many things that have happened in the past couple of days that have sparked a lot of conversation all over the country. All eyes were on the state of Florida when the Milwaukee Bucks decided not to play in a potential closeout game on Wednesday night.
Other teams in the NBA followed suit, and it led to teams in other professional leagues deciding not to play because of all of the social unrest going on. There was a very familiar name that helped bridge the gap between the NBA players and its owners.
Michael Jordan served as a liaison between both parties in order to get the players back on the court and to get the owners to listen to what the players need from them. Sam Mitchell, of NBA TV, joined The Jon Chuckery Show to talk about Jordan's actions the last couple of days.
"It does put a big smile on my face," Mitchell said.
Jordan has received a lot of criticism in the past for shying away from social issues as a player, but was a key cog in communications between the two parties. If a former colleague is pleased with how far Jordan has come, then everyone should join in give him the credit he deserves.
