Ladies and gentlemen, yet another wrinkle to the strangest sports story of the last five years has emerged.
On Friday, a clip from Meadowlark Media’s “Pablo Torre Finds Out” was posted on X, where the aforementioned podcast host reported the following two updates on the bizarre relationship between former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson:
Update 1
“Two sources at the University of North Carolina tell me that there’s been a decision - was made last week - by the higher-ups inside the athletic department that have hired Bill Belichick to be the highest paid public employee, not just coach, in the state of North Carolina at $10 million a year. And that decision was that Jordon Hudson is no longer allowed in the football building. She is not allowed on the football field. Quote, ‘Don't think you'll be hearing much from Jordon moving forward.’”
Update 2
“The second update is that Bill Belichick's family is extraordinarily concerned about what has transpired. One Belichick family source told me, quote, ‘There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina, but Bill's legacy, reputation, everything he has built and worked for over decades,’ end quote. In fact, the family has been digging into Jordon Hudson, as well.”
After the media frenzy that has transpired in the wake of Belichick and Hudson’s strange appearance on CBS News Sunday Morning on April 27, coupled with Hudson posting screenshots two days later of what appears to be an email from a frustrated Belichick by the media’s handling of his book tour, the powers that be at North Carolina have seemingly had enough.
Torre’s second update from the podcast clip is in line with another piece of the Bill-Jordon drama that unfolded after the CBS interview, where Belichick’s daughter-in-law Jen Belichick spoke out condemning Hudson’s actions within the comments of an Instagram clip from Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski’s podcast “Dudes on Dudes with Gronk and Jules.”
In the clip, Edelman and Gronkowski spoke about the controversy, trying to downplay the entire matter. As former players of Belichick’s, this should come as no surprise.
In the replies of the clip, standup comedian Nikki Glaser wrote, "She was jumping into that conversation during the interview just like any PR person would jump in when there's an unnecessary question."
With Glaser having just worked with Belichick last year on Netflix’s roast of Tom Brady, this was, again, an unsurprising defense of the situation for the 73-year-old.
In a direct reply to Glaser’s comment, Jen Belichick wrote, "Publicists act in a professional manner and don't 'storm' off set delaying an interview."
Jen’s reply on Instagram coupled with Torre’s update on how the Belichick family reportedly feels about Bill’s early 20s girlfriend shows that the people closest to the six-time Super Bowl winning head coach are just as perplexed and concerned by this situation as the great majority of football fans in New England are.
No, this is not an episode of “Real Housewives” on Bravo. This is actually the state of the post-dynasty Patriots.
Hudson is slated to compete in the 2025 Miss Maine pageant being held on May 10 and 11 in Portland.
Whether or not Belichick will be in attendance for the event is unknown at this time.

Yes, this is all real.
What a time to be alive.
UPDATE: The University of North Carolina, in a statement to The Athletic's Chris Vannini, has denied that Hudson has been banned from UNC facilities:
