We have out answer, and the next time Kenny Pickett takes the field in a game it will be with an NFL team.

Pickett announced on Thursday that he will forgo the 2022 Peach Bowl and begin prepping for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Why not go out on top? Afterall, Pickett returned for a fifth year thanks to an NCAA option due to lost time during the COVID pandemic.

Pickett returned for a fifth year with the main goal of winning a championship; He, and the Panthers, did just that.

Chris Bickell ’97 Head Coach Pat Narduzzi stated that it has been an honor to coach Pickett through his college career, noting that he gave the university everything he had.

Much like Narduzzi states, Pickett raised the bar for the entire Panthers program.

An ACC Championship, a Heisman nominee, and a game changer, literally.

Pickett’s fake slide is no longer allowed in the NCAA.

In the closing of his statement, Pickett added that he was incredibly proud to bring another trophy to the City of Champions.

Thank you, Kenny Pickett.
