The baseball world has been turned upside down since the announcement by Rob Manfred of the season being postponed. Fans are upset that, for at least the moment, that there will be no baseball.
The one thing about work stoppage in baseball is that it’s nothing that hasn’t been done before. Most baseball fans were alive the last time it happened in 1995.
Zach Buchanan, of the Athletic, joined the Jon Chuckery show to help put what’s going on right now into prospective. “The history of the game is littered with these kind of work stoppages,” Buchanan said. “They are to be expected on a certain level.”

The owners and the players will constantly be pitted against each other at the meeting tables, and in the public eye. With this saga being played out publicly, no one should be in shock, given how both sides reluctance to get a deal done.
