As the college football season has kicked off this past weekend with week zero, all eyes will be on games taking place in week one which begins Thursday with several games on the calendar. As for the Georgia Bulldogs, their season will kick off on Saturday when they host UT Martin. And while the Dawgs are the overwhelming favorite in their opener, they are also highly favored in all of their matchups this season as some believe their schedule may be one of the easiest among college football teams.

Yet, despite all the optimism that Georgia is garnering, with many predicting the Dawgs to return to the College Football Playoffs and possibly make history with a third straight national championship, 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery spoke with Matt Muerschel of the Orlando Sentinel and asked him to share his thoughts on whether or not he saw “a stumbling block” that could keep the Dawgs from ending the regular season unbeaten.

“If they’re not 12-0 and they get to the SEC Championship game, I would be disappointed,” Muerschel responded to the evening host’s question pointing to the fact that Georgia’s schedule is not “the strongest” and even with Carson Back taking over at quarterback, the Dawgs “have enough talent on the defensive side of the football, that they’re going to keep games close,” and if Georgia can limit their turnovers, Muerschel believes that Georgia “should win every game by double digits,” he told Chuckery.

As they’re conversation continued, Muerschel also shared that he believes Georgia’s toughest opponent may not come until they SEC Championship and that will end up in the CFB Playoffs. “I think they’re going to be right there once again and they’ve got a good chance. If everything comes together and jells right, they’ve got a good chance to get that third straight national championship,” he told Chuckery.
