Will Tom Brady someday pull a Jeff Saturday?

NFL insider Peter King, for one, doesn't think so.

Saturday made waves last week, when he skipped the proverbial line to become head coach of the Indianapolis Colts with no prior coaching experience in either the college or professional ranks.

Whether that comes to pass remains to be seen, but if we're speculating about possible candidates, the famously competitive Brady and his seven Super Bowl rings would certainly make some degree of sense, at least on paper.

But King, responding to a reader-submitted question in the mailbag section of his weekly column, "Football Morning In America," said he doesn't envision that scenario for Brady, though he allowed that the future Hall of Famer "will have every option in the future."

For one thing, King wrote, Brady has already committed to a post-playing career as a broadcaster after signing a lucrative 10-year deal with FOX Sports.

For another, King believes Brady more likely has designs on becoming an NFL owner rather than a coach:

I do think he’d find a path to ownership tempting, if he can find one.

In fact, Brady reportedly held talks with the Miami Dolphins about joining the organization as the league's first ever part-owner/player, before the deal was eventually scuttled.

In any event, King, who interviewed Brady for Monday's installment of FMIA after the Bucs' win over the Seahawks in Germany, said he's "never pictured" Brady wearing the coach's headset.

Brady, meanwhile, told King that the gameday experience in Deutschland was "spectacular."
