DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Urban Meyer won't be going to The Forty Acres, after all.
According to multiple reports, Meyer, citing health reasons, has informed officials with the University of Texas that he won't return to coaching in 2021.
Horns247 was the to report on Meyer "leaning toward not coaching again."
Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman followed up that report by saying that Meyer had told Texas "he has chosen not to return to coaching."
As for what Texas does next in regards to current head coach Tom Herman, Horns247 reports that there's a chance the university sticks with him as their head coach.
Herman is 31-18 in his four seasons at the helm. Should Texas still want to move on from him they'll be forced to pay a $25 million buyout.
