According to Audacy NFL insider Jason La Canfora, the Saints interviewed former Eagles head coach Doug Pederson to replace Payton on Sunday.

Pederson, 54, has interviewed with three teams thus far (Bears, Jaguars) after he was fired from the Eagles following the 2020 season.

In five seasons as head coach of the Eagles, Pederson went 42-37-1 and won the Super Bowl in his second season in 2017.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Saints expect to interview former Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and current defensive coordinator Dennis Allen for the position.
