Is there anything left that the Hawks can do? That was part of the discussion 929-9 The Game’s John Fricke had with Deshaun Tate on Friday night as they discussed the Atlanta Hawks, who made headlines on Thursday with the announcement of a contract extension for guard Dejounte Murray.
And while Atlanta has been tied to trade rumors involving Pascal Siakam, reports of the Toronto All-Star stating that he has no plans to sign an extension, have all but dimmed the light on that potential trade scenario. With that being said, the question many have had since the extension of Murray on Thursday, what would be the next move the Hawks will make, if they do so?
“I do think that a move will be made, how significant of a move, I don’t know,” Tate responded in his conversation with Fricke regarding the direction the Hawks could potential go should they look to make another roster move. “I don’t think it has to be this big named star or this big name player. It has to be the right fit number one and hopefully somebody that provides a little bit of edge, a little bit of maturity, some winning pedigree, a winning resume to some degree,” Tate added.
