
A woman was killed and several others were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Van Nuys, the Los Angeles Police Department reported Wednesday.
The collision was reported at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at Van Nuys and Burbank boulevards. Arriving LAPD officers learned one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Burbank when they crashed into the driver's side of a second vehicle heading north on Van Nuys in front of a Ralph's parking lot, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. According to NBC 4, one of the cars ran a red light prior to the crash.
NBC 4 reported at least three people were taken to hospitals with unknown injuries.
It was not immediately known if any arrests were made.
The LAPD said the department's Valley Traffic Division will handle the investigation of the collision.
