The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert covering five Bay Area counties: Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Alameda. Officials said the boy, 2-year-old Jacob Jardine, was in a brown 2008 Buick Enclave when it was stolen by an unknown suspect at 3:51 a.m. in Sunnyvale.

The alert described Jardine as about 3 feet tall, 25 pounds with red, curly hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and gray pants.
Authorities are also attempting to contact 29-year-old Luong "Tammy" Huynh, as they believe she may have information that will help to find Jardine. Anyone who knows Tammy or has recently seen or spoken with her is asked to contact 408-730-7100.

The stolen vehicle has unknown paper license plates issued in Georgia with a spare tire on the right front wheel, a headlight and tail light out on the left side and with a blue "Baby on Board" sticker on the back window.
Anyone who sees the vehicle is advised to call 911 immediately.
