LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been identified as the subjects of an FBI lawsuit involving an assault on a private plane in 2016.
An article by Puck revealed that the actress told an FBI agent that Pitt “physically and verbally assaulted” her and their children while onboard their private plane in 2016.

The outlet said the agent investigating the incident presented a “statement of probable cause” to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles. However, it prosecutors would not push criminal charges due to an amended complaint filed by the actress, which asked for the records and evidence that the FBI is holding.
In April, POLITICO reported U.S. District Court Judge Beryl Howell allowed a woman to “anonymously” file a Freedom of Information Act suit against the FBI. The publication also said what was presented in the judge’s order “tracked” the accusations made against Brad Pitt by Angelina Jolie. The political outlet cited two published articles regarding the FBI’s consideration of investigating the incident. Then, the organization closed its inquiry into the allegation.
Pitt has denied the allegations, with his team telling PEOPLE magazine, “He is emphatic that it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed. He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that. He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was spiraling out of control.”
The couple announced their separation in 2016.
