Anime fans headed to downtown Los Angeles Thursday for the Anime Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The four-day event is the largest anime expo in North America, attracting 100,000 fans with its art display, attractions, and panels. Some fans get dressed just to go.
“I enjoy coming to these events just to like heal my inner child,” one attendee told KNX News’ Jon Baird. “I grew up watching a lot of anime and things like that, so dressing up is just a fun way to express myself artistically and characters I enjoy.”
“I think seeing all the cosplayers is really fun,” another attendee said. “Everyone puts so much time and effort into their costumes, and then getting to see all of the booths and all of the people who actually make like the shows and the video games that we're super excited about are always great.”
