The new track can only be heard in full on the Headspace app.

Arcade Fire’s last full-length album, Everything Now was released in 2017. The band’s co-founder, Win Butler shared that a new album was coming last year and said the logistics of the new record were “flowing” amidst the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown.

On Rick Rubin's Broken Record podcast, Butler told him he had written “two or three” Arcade Fire albums during lockdown, adding, “We had been writing for a year and were doing our first session towards the record when Covid came down. I’ve just been writing like I can’t remember a time where I’ve written more.”

In 2020, during Stephen Colbert’s election special the band performed a new song called “Generation A.” The new song has not been released yet.
