RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (KNX) — Customers who had pre-ordered Thanksgiving meals at an Inland Empire Boston Market encountered a surprise when they turned up to collect purchases on Thursday. They were met with locked doors and a note posted, reading: “No employees showing up today … We are unable to fulfil orders! We are sorry!”
Many customers did not have back-up plans to feed their families.
“We got out confirmation order. It said it was going to be ready,” a patron told Fox 11. “And we come and no one showed up.”
“We are in the process of refunding the Thanksgiving order(s) of every guest impacted by our Rancho Cucamonga location,” a statement from Boston Market read. “We are investigating the cause of this issue. We sincerely apologize to every guest who placed and order and came to the restaurant.”
