If 70% - 85% of the American population is able to get vaccinated by early-to-mid Fall 2021 then he feels "you can have people feeling safe performing onstage as well as people in the audience.”

Fauci stressed the importance of venues and theaters ensuring that they have good ventilation systems and proper air filters so that they can start getting back to hosting events and screenings at full capacity. He referenced a German study from last summer that concluded there was a low chance of spreading COVID-19 if venues have proper ventilation and health protocols in place.

The latest economic stimulus has allotted approximately $10 billion to the country's independent venues and theaters to help them stay afloat until a time where people can get back to them safely, which Dr. Fauci assures will happen.
