A driver who was pulled over by an officer in Fullerton took a creative approach when trying to avoid a traffic ticket.
In a post on Instagram, the Fullerton Police Department said the driver handed the cop a “Get Out of Jail Free” card that's used in the game Monopoly.

"The officer had a good laugh, reminded the driver that while creativity is appreciated, it’s not exactly a legal defense, and told him to save the card for a rainy day," the post by the department read.
Officers said the driver received a real citation.
