DTLA crash traps one, injures 2 others

A crash on Monday morning injured three people, including one who was trapped in the wreckage, in downtown Los Angeles, a fire department official said.

The collision was reported about 7:25 a.m. in the 800 block of South Mateo Street, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department reports.

The patients were taken to a hospital but their conditions were not immediately available.

Mateo street remained closed between Seventh Place and Bay Street while the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Traffic and the LAFD worked at the scene.
