The Cozy Inn in Culver City opens at 6 a.m. every day, giving fans a place to watch World Cup matches as Los Angeles hosts today.
The bar offers pool tables and Jalisco Estrellas, a popular drink for fans watching the Mexico game yesterday, according to Nicole, a bartender at the Cozy Inn.
At bars across L.A., customers saw the influence of the World Cup in real time.
“During the week, it's usually dead at this bar, and yesterday it was packed,” said a customer who visited Brentwood. “Everyone was there celebrating the World Cup, and it's a lot of pride and people getting together.”
Another customer was at the Venice Whaler and described the bar and grill as “electric.”
“I told myself I wasn't gonna drink today, but the energy that was surrounding the Venice Pier was awesome,” he said, “I had to partake with foreigners.”
The Cozy Inn is open until 2 a.m., long after the USA’s debut World Cup match begins.
