World Cup fans are heading to Long Beach for the LA Galaxy’s free Soccer Celebration watch party in downtown Long Beach on Monday.
The party already showed the Spain vs. Cabo Verde match at 9 a.m. and will be showing the Belgium vs. Egypt match, as well as the Saudi Arabia vs. Uruguay matches.
KNX News’ Jon Baird spoke with attendees watching the Spain vs. Cabo Verde match.
“This is awesome. I'm on summer break, so this is amazing,” one woman said. “It's really nice right now. It's Monday, and I don't have to work.”
Rodrigo told Baird he’ll be at the watch parties all week.
“I work nights this week, so I'll be here for the England-Croatia game, and then the US game, I think that's around 12 o'clock on Friday, so I'll be here,” he said.
The watch parties are located at Pine Ave. between 3rd St. and Broadway.
