Police said the car was left unlocked with the keys in the ignition, and a thief took off in the 2010 Honda Fit coupe with Charlie inside.

Officers said they tracked the orange, two-door car “a short time later” near Silent Eara Drive and Duane Street. But Charlie, the dog, was missing.
