Man assaulted, robbed of $13K Rolex at gunpoint at Culver City shopping center

CULVER CITY, Calif. (KNX) — A man was robbed in the parking lot of a Culver City shopping center on Wednesday. Police on Thursday asked for the public’s help in identifying two suspects.

The robbery occurred at around 5 p.m. Wednesday at the shopping center located at 11463 Washington Boulevard, Culver City police said.

The victim told police he was approached by two men when he was getting out of his car. One of the men reportedly pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim’s chest, and demanded his Rolex watch. The robber then pointed the gun at the victim’s head as he took his watch and cell phone.

One of the robbers then allegedly punched the victim in the head. The duo subsequently fled the scene on foot in the direction of Washington Boulevard.

The suspects were described as two Black men in their early 20s. Both stood at around five feet, eight inches tall. One weighed an estimated 210 pounds, the other an estimated 180 pounds, according to police. Both were donning face masks, the victim said.

The victim told police the stolen watch was valued at $13,000.
