The wounded man was a patron of a restaurant who stepped outside to smoke, according to CBS2.
As he was smoking, the man was struck by at least one bullet fired from across the street, wounding him in the lower back, and the suspect who fired the gun ran and jumped into a waiting vehicle that fled the area, the station reported.
