Police on Monday were investigating the death of a pedestrian on Sepulveda Boulevard in Torrance.

The victim, a man of unknown age, was struck about 11:25 p.m. Sunday in the area of Border Avenue, according to the Torrance Police Department.
He was not in a crosswalk when he was hit.
A police lieutenant said the driver stopped and showed no signs of intoxication.
Sepulveda Boulevard was initially shut down between Knode Street and Border Avenue and later between Border and Western avenues, a closure that lasted until 8:45 a.m. Monday, police said.
