Downtown Los Angeles is one of the areas expected to be jam-packed with people protesting ICE and the Trump administration.

The “END THE OCCUPATION” rally and march will begin at 9:30 a.m. at 220 N Spring St. The protest is being organized by 50501 SoCal with SEIU 721.

Mayor Karen Bass told KNX News’ Craig Fiegener she’s hoping for a peaceful protest.

“Peaceful protest is the American way,” she said. “It is important if people want to express themselves [and] that they express themselves, but it is 150% inappropriate for people to resort to any level of violence or vandalism, and it will be addressed if that were to happen.”

She added that a curfew will not be imposed, as “there hasn’t been any indication that we would need to do anything like that.”
