Los Angeles Rock trio Dirty Honey is back with new music, igniting the road to their next album with two new songs, “Lights Out” and “Butterfly.” Singer Marc LaBelle recently joined Abe Kanan for an Audacy Check In to talk about the latest from the band, and preview their upcoming album, Catch My Butterfly, out everywhere on January 15.

The music video for "Lights Out" was filmed on a downtown Los Angeles rooftop during a scorching 103°F heatwave. Mark recalls moving amps in the sweltering heat, describing it as "literal hell on earth" before the sun went down.
Along with “Butterfly,” “Lights Out” is the first sample of Dirty Honey’s upcoming album, Catch My Butterfly, their first since 2023. “We're super proud of them,” shares Marc, “and excited to finally get to share them with the world because, it's been far too long that we've been away.”
Dirty Honey has been a leader in the Rock resurgence, as more bands pick up the guitar and return to the roots of it all. “It's probably ramping back up again,” says LaBelle. “I'm just seeing on social media a lot, there's so many people playing guitar, it feels like, and yeah just even ‘Lights Out,’ the amount of people that sent me them playing the riff, or like the solo to ‘Lights Out,’ I mean, literally dozens.”
“It just feels like so much more, like 5 or 10x what it was, Which is so cool.”
