
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Pirates Second Baseman Adam Frazier came to the plate with the bases loaded and the game tied at two in the 8th inning and promptly brought home Starling Marte and Josh Bell on a 2-RBI single to give the Pirates the lead and they would add two more runs in the inning on an RBI single by Elias Diaz and a sacrifice fly by Jung Ho Kang.
Michael Feliz started the 9th inning for the Pirates and got two outs, but the San Diego Padres were able to get one off of him and Clint Hurdle didn't waste any time and decided to bring on Felipe Vasquez to close out the game and seal the Pirates 6-3 victory Saturday afternoon as they take the first two games of the series with San Diego.
