Championship Battles Heating Up At Lernerville Speedway

SARVER, PA (93.7 The Fan) – Fab 4 Racing returns to Lernerville Speedway tonight as the battle for the Championships heats up and the second half of the season gets underway at The Action Track.

The hottest points battle is in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stocks division where Joey Zambotti leads multi-time Champion Corey McPherson by eight points.  Tyler Dietz is eight points behind McPherson and Ryan Moyer is in striking distance, 17-points out of the top spot.


Zambotti has 2-feature wins this season while Dietz, Moyer and McPherson have each visited Victory Lane once.

In the Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Big Block Modified division, Rex King Jr and seven-time Champion Brian Swartzlander are battling it out and are separated by a mere eight points heading into this evening's action.  Rex King Sr., Garrett Krummert and Dave Murdick round out the top 5.

Swartzlander has two feature wins on the season with Krummert, Jeremiah Shingledecker and Mat Williamson each visiting Victory Lane once.

In the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Model division, Ken Schaltenbrand leads former two-time Champion Jared Miley by 19-points as Michael Norris has jumped into Clint Bowyer Racing's car, subbing for the injured Don O'Neal in the Lucas Oil Late Model Series.

In the Peoples Natural Gas DIRTcar Sprint division, AJ Flick has a 32-point lead over Jack Sodeman Jr. Carl Bowser, Ralph Spithaler and Sye Lynch (pictured above) round out the top 5.  

Lynch leads the division with 2-feature wins with Flick, Sodeman, Bowser and Brandon Matus each visiting Victory Lane once.

There will be special guest visitors at the track tonight as the STARS battling childhood brain tumors will be meeting drivers and taking in the racing tonight.

Tonight is also Lernerville's annual Christmas in July as the track goes all out decorating the concession stand and driver pit area as well as a visit from Santa Claus, who will be joining the Lernerville Kids Club for Christmas Bingo.  The children will also take part in pre-race ceremonies leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance.  The Kids club meets at 6:30 under the turn 4 grandstands and is free for all children.

Pits open at 4 p.m. with the Grandstands opening at 5 p.m. with the racing starting at 7:30 p.m.

Adult general admission is $15, $12 for Seniors and $10 for students ages 11-17.
