PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – Steelers added three more from the XFL and a former Duke player to continue to build their off-season depth.
Defensive backs Breon Borders and Arrion Springs, center John Keenoy and offensive tackle Anthony Coyle.
Borders played four seasons at Duke, with 14 career tackles against the Panthers. Borders also intercepted Jameis Winston twice during his freshman year. The 6’0” defensive back played in 13 NFL games with the Raiders, Bills, Texans, Jaguars and Washington.
Springs had 137 career tackles with two picks at Oregon and played in the XFL after time in the NFL with the Chiefs, Browns, Saints, Raiders and Chargers.
A Fordham grad and All-Patriot league offensive tackle, Coyle also played offensive line in the XFL. Coyle also worked with the Texans, Packers and Falcons.
Keenoy signed with the Vikings last year after an undrafted rookie tryout and played with Dallas in the XFL. Keenoy started 51 games at Western Michigan.
