Hall of Famer Jack Ham has seen some crazy things in his playing days with the Steelers in the 1970s but he explained to Cook and Joe when he joined them on  Wednesday that he  has never seen anything like the incident with the Steelers/ Browns game last week.

Browns Myles Garrett ripped Steelers QB Mason Rudolph’s helmet off and used it as a weapon to hit Rudolph.

“I don’t care how frustrated you get,” Ham said. “You don’t do something  that crazy in a football game.”

Ham said that he saw a lot of fights and guys kicking each other on the field in rivalry games when they played the Browns during his day but this was something that crossed the line.

“There is a lot of violence and collision out there…it’s a violent game, “ Ham added. “This was not part of the game.”

Jack will be on the call of the Penn State/ Ohio State game this weekend and he breaks down the game.

He admits that Penn State can match up well against the Buckeyes and there impressive running game….it comes down to Penn State and the secondary.

“We can score points against them,” Ham said. “But you don’t want to get into a scoring battle with them.”

Ham says the Penn State program is on the cusp of once again being an elite program

“They have been in the hunt here,” Ham said. “Were not there yet but the arrow is trending up.”

Ham said that James Franklin has been a great recruiter and a couple of additional great recruiting classes will get them back.
