PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Ben Roethlisberger did his part to spread holiday cheer on Christmas day by putting an end to the rumors that he was done with football.
“P.S. Contrary to recent reports out there about my football future and my ‘uncertainty’ about playing again,” the tweet read. “I am working hard and am more determined than ever to come back stronger and better than ever next year!”

December 25, 2019 On Monday, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that there was a chance Roethlisberger would not play football again. Mortensen later clarified his comments by tweeting:
“Clarity to calm down the masses – the Steelers are now optimistic Ben Roethlisberger will recover from elbow surgery to reattach three tendons. Not cleared to throw yet but he is tracking better and Ben himself wants and expect to play in 2020 and beyond, per sources.”
Big Ben spoke to The Fan’s Ron Cook a couple weeks ago and said that his recovery from elbow surgery was actually ahead of schedule.
